Mr. Moffatt was born on October 15, 1965, and he is a life long resident of Kanawha County, West Virginia. Mr. Moffatt received his Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University in 1987 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law in 1994. Mr. Moffatt is an active member of the West Virginia State Bar (No.: 6639), West Virginia Bar Association and the Real Estate Division of the West Virginia Bar Association. As an associate attorney prior to opening the Law Office of D. Kevin Moffatt, PLLC, Mr. Moffatt primarily represented lenders and business owners by examining titles, preparing title reports and title commitments for commercial and residential real estate matters, closing real estate transactions and performing foreclosure sales. Mr. Moffatt wanted to serve his clients by providing quality representation within a firm dedicated to real estate law, thus in 2001 he opened the Law Office of D. Kevin Moffatt, PLLC. The Law Office of D. Kevin Moffatt, PLLC has closed hundreds of real estate transactions, including purchases and refinance loans. Since 2005, Mr. Moffatt has personally handled over Seven Hundred (700) foreclosure files, including personally performing all of the non-judicial sales throughout all Fifty-five counties in West Virginia.
